Roof Repair and Roof Paint Work at Pretoria Roofworks - Facebook | Fruugle

We paid over R32,000 for roof repair and painting on our tin roof through Pretoria Roofworks. From the outset, Rupert sent up to three messages a day pressuring us to pay a deposit — only to arrive a week after payment was made. He promises a 15-year warranty on his work, but based on our experience, I doubt that warranty is worth anything. The problems we encountered: - The roof colour was not what we requested. Sections of the roof are noticeably lighter than the colour we agreed on. When we raised this, Rupert claimed it would darken over time. It never did. - Rust spots were still visible on the roof after the job was supposedly completed. - Rupert claimed he would run his "magic paint" from the top of the roof underneath our solar panels. This was never done. Instead, his workers simply painted around the panels by hand with a brush and bucket. - We paid in full for the installation of a downpipe to prevent rainwater from building up and leaking into the house. He dropped off the downpipe but never returned to install it. Weeks passed with no follow-up. Rupert is very persuasive and will convince you that the steep price is justified, but I can assure you the end result does not match what is promised.
