What is Fruugle?
Fruugle is South Africa's consumer-powered platform for reporting misleading products, fake discounts, and deceptive sellers. We believe that every South African deserves to make informed purchasing decisions, free from dishonest marketing tactics.
When you encounter a product that isn't what it claimed to be, a discount that was never real, or a seller that misrepresented their goods, Fruugle gives you a voice. Your report helps warn others and holds businesses accountable.

Why we built this
South African consumers regularly encounter misleading advertising, inflated “sale” prices, products that don't match their descriptions, and sellers who disappear after taking payment. Existing complaint channels are slow, fragmented, and often go unnoticed.
Fruugle brings consumer reports together in one public, searchable platform. Transparency is the best disinfectant. When businesses know their practices will be publicly documented, they're more likely to play fair.
